The aim of a Key man insurance taken out by a business is to offset the cost of replacement and to compensate the business for financial losses that could arise from the death or total and permanent disablement of the key person’s usefulness to the business. The Policy proceeds are used to cover the firm's lost income and to locate and hire a replacement.
